Social networking: better or worse than the real thing
Social networking is the communication of individuals using technology.
Examples of such are sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc. It
helps people to communicate each other without even meeting them face to
face. Facebook has changed the idea of
communication that we used earlier. It has opened a new era of communicating people
all over the world just by a simple click. It has cut the barrier of remoteness
between us but at the same time our private information became easier to get
for other people. Social networking gave us opportunity to meet new people
everyday but on the other hand we are going apart from the face to face social
communication day by day. Now the point is, is it better or worse than the real
thing? This research will focus on whether or not social networking technology is
better than the real face-to-face communication.
Hello Jahan,
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to see what Facebook can be in the next few years, as the company has become so much bigger and all-encompassing. Instagram, whatsapp, and not to mention mobile payment and even video call in messager app.
It is fascinating how much has changed in terms of communication. It was very simple many years ago. Now, we have the world at our finger tips. It amuses me how we are able to connect with people from all over the world. It changes not only personal relationships, but business relationships as well. Businesses have the ability to have conference calls with individuals on the other side of the world to close deals. It will only advance, and I wonder where technology will take us.
ReplyDeleteHello Jahan,
ReplyDeleteI agree that social networking is constantly changing our social communication. I asked a question I is it good or bad. I think it has to have it's place and purpose. Of course if your friend or business partner is in another state or country it is much easier to connect with him via social media. But if your friend lives next door I think it's better to find some time to spend with him and have a real face-to-face communication. All technologies were invented at some point for good purposes, but it should not take over us.
